CPA Onwonga, a founding partner of Mokua Onwong’a & Company Certified Public Accountants, is a long-standing member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

CPA Onwong’a has a professional profile that permeates all sectors of the economy with wide knowledge in Private and Public Sector Consultancy.

He has immense experience as a team leader and engagement partner in several consultancies including advising local and multinational corporations on tax and regulatory matters, including transfer pricing, carrying out tax due diligence reviews, group re- organization and structuring for tax optimization, indirect taxes reviews and tax compliance, tax training, tax dispute and controversy resolution and assisting clients during in-depth assessments by the revenue authorities as well as assisting clients in procuring advance tax rulings from Kenya Revenue Authority.

Onwong’a has also been involved in financial audits, systems audits, management and human capital consulting covering various industry sectors, in a diversity of African countries. His experience includes carrying out feasibility studies, assisting clients in search and recruitment of the best talents, managing corporate recovery and reconstruction programmes for clients, advising on the design and implementation of accounting systems in various industries and providing financial advice for companies on financing models, investigations, financial appraisals, receiverships and liquidations, business needs assessments and diagnostic reviews, production and quality management advisory, sector analysis and advisory, strategic planning, among others.
