I am an enthusiastic leader with over 20 years of experience in the Accountancy Profession. I have realized significant milestones in serving the accountancy profession spanning a continuous period of over fifteen years. I have mentored and incubated several businesses to success. Through various board positions, we have led organizations to realize their optimal potential. A major milestone is the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, where I currently serve as the National Chairman. In such roles, I have developed an acumen for Governance, Strategic Leadership & Management and driving Public Policy matters.
I currently hold the position of National Chairman of ICPAK after being elected in June 2021. I am the immediate former National Vice Chairman; a position he held for two years from 2019-2021. I'm also the Managing Partner of Mokua Onwonga & Co., Certified Public Accountants, the Company Secretary of Kenya Petroleum Refineries Ltd and the Vice Chairman of the Mombasa County Public Service Board where I also chair the Board Audit, and Compliance Committee in addition to being a member of the Complaints Committee of the Board.
